About Us
I'm Dan, and I have been working in the construction industry since I was 14 years old. My dad built custom homes back in Illinois, and I first went to work for him as a kid, cleaning up the job sites. When I got a little older, I began framing the houses, learning from the experienced carpenters my dad hired. I knew from an early age that creating beautiful and functional spaces was what I wanted to do with my life, but it took a while to actually make that happen.

The problem? I LOVE to golf! And I'm actually pretty good at it...so good that I decided to pursue a career in it. I left Illinois and moved to Fort Myers in 2006 with the goal of working for a golf course and becoming a PGA professional. I spent a couple years working for a golf course on Sanibel, but still found myself doing side work in construction. I learned a lot about business and snowbirds, but the golf world proved to be a fantastic hobby. My passion for carpentry and eye for design led me back to the building industry. I started working for a local subcontractor in residential construction. I spent 9 years there, managing everything from supervising basic interior trim package installation to designing intricate custom carpentry in multi-million dollar homes.

I started Hoffacker Homes, LLC in late 2017 after earning my CBC license. It took about a year to get things off the ground, but I was finally able to launch full-time on November 5, 2018. Now I have the time to do what I'm best at: design personalized spaces to match the lifestyles and vision of Southwest Florida homeowners.

When I'm not designing and building, I'm hanging out with my wife Bethaney and two kids - Cooper and Finnley. I love renovating my own home, and can usually be found knee-deep in one project or another there.

Another one of my passions is Autism research, which is a cause close to my heart. Check out FORE Autism Golf Open for more information on my family's annual fundraiser, supporting Els for Autism.
